The MX2 class is the official transition into the professional classes and allows riders to compete on 125cc two-strokes to 250cc four-stroke motorcycles.
There is an age limit for riders in this class, allowing only those under 23 years old to participate. Additionally, riders who win two world titles are required to move up to the MXGP category.
Despite being the smaller class, the MX2 category often delivers the most exhilarating racing of the series, with young professional riders eager to make their mark, impress manufacturers, and forge a successful future in the sport.
