When and where is the MXGP of Australia event?

Can I get a refund on my ticket?

Ticketek offers an optional Refundable Ticket Upgrade at the time of purchase. If you select this upgrade, you'll be eligible for a 100% refund if you're unable to attend due to one of the reasons covered in the Refundable Terms and Conditions. This option is only available during the initial ticket purchase and cannot be added later.

Will there be a concession priced ticket?

Concession ticket prices will be available for Full-Time Students, Seniors, Pensioners, Australian Health Care Card Holders and Veterans Affairs Card Holders. Concession pricing is available for General Admission, single day tickets only.

What are the accommodation options in Darwin?

What transportation options are available to and from the event?

A free bus service will run to and from the venue throughout the event.

Darwin is relatively small and easy to navigate. For airport transfers, you can choose from taxis, a shuttle bus, or rideshare options. Within the city, e-scooters and e-bikes are also available for convenient travel. Hidden Valley is just a 10-minute drive from the city center.

Is there parking available at the event venue?

Yes, parking will be available at the Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex. More details will be provided closer to the event.

What items can’t I bring in?

Glass or cans; illegal substances, including controlled, dangerous or illicit drugs, alcohol; e-cigarette juice; perfumes, aftershaves or deodorants; flares or fireworks; laser pointers; weapons, or resemblance of weapons, including knives, firearms, blunt offensive objects, batons and those with sharp ends; projectile items, including balls, frisbees, rackets or similar objects; inflatable items; bicycles, skateboards, skates and scooters and helmets of any form; political or offensive materials; recording devices (for commercial purposes) and tripods, drones or any remote-controlled devices; selfie sticks, flag poles of more than 1 metre in length / banners or flags larger than 1m x 2m; eskies and bags of larger dimensions than 35cm in height, 20cm in width and 30cm in length (i.e. too large to be stored under a seat), including motorized eskies; masks or full-face coverings (unless for medical or religious purposes); animals (other than trained assistance dogs); musical instruments and noise makers, including drums, whistles, air horns and loud hailers without the prior consent of Venue management; other items as determined by NTMEC that may cause injury, public nuisance or safety concerns.

Can I bring my own food and drinks to the event?

Yes, pack a picnic, however only plastic or preferably bamboo cutlery please! Please note you can bring in a bottle of sealed water only or bring an empty bottle and fill up at one of our refill stations (no cold drinks or other drinks will be permitted). If you're still hungry, we have a great range of catering options available to suit all tastes.

Motorcycling Australia manages the volunteers for MXGP of Australia. If you are interested in volunteering at the event, you can find more information on their website here.

Do you accept Companion Cards?

NTMEC is affiliated with Companion Cards to ensure all patrons of MXGP of Australia 2025 have full and equal access to the event.

When the holder of a Companion Card purchases a ticket to the event, a second ticket will be issued for their companion at no charge, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Companion Card and not applicable for hospitality tickets. A ticket for a companion must be requested at the time of booking.

Yes, we are encouraging fans to bring their own chairs. Hidden Valley is a natural amphitheater with plenty of natural and temporary shade throughout the venue.

Is the event family-friendly?

Absolutely! The MXGP of Australia event is suitable for fans of all ages, with plenty of activities for families to be announced soon. Please note this is a LOUD event, so we recommend you kit them out with some kind of ear protection!

Children 12 and under are free, and you are required to purchase a ticket for entry. Up to two children can be booked per paying adult.

Who do I contact about access for people with a disability?

Is there an easy way to get around the event site?

Hidden Valley is made up of rocky ground, gravel, grass, concrete and concrete paths.

There are a few catering and bar areas, each with varying access. The Main GA viewing area near the accessible viewing area is easiest to access, as this location is closest to the entry and exit. Pit Paddock has concrete paths and can be accessed via the internal shuttle bus and Carpentaria bus.

There is limited seating available across the site, however, there is one dedicated accessible viewing platform in general admission areas and one dedicated accessible viewing platform in Holeshot Hotel.

Santos has partnered with NT Major Events to provide accessible matting onsite. Accessible matting will be laid at the dedicated accessible lane at Gate 3, and other key areas across the site.

Carpentaria has partnered with NT Major Events to help provide an accessible shuttle bus which supports event-goers who may require further assistance getting to key areas on the site. The accessible shuttle bus can be booked on Saturday and Sunday by contacting event control on (08) 8928 1902.

Is there sensory support onsite?

The venue can be loud and crowded. Free sensory bags supplied by Carpentaria are available from the Accessibility Information Stand with ear buds, earmuffs, communication cards and sensory toys available.

What accessible bathroom facilities are available?

Locations with accessible friendly bathrooms will be highlighted on the accessible map once available.

There is also a Changing Place facility to assist people with high support needs, this is a standard accessible toilet with extra features to meet the needs of people with disability and their carers.

How can I get back on the bus to return home?

Event Champions in high visibility vests have direct contact with the bus company to ensure getting onto the bus is an easy process.

Is there an accessible viewing platform?

Carpentaria Disability Services has partnered with NT Major Events to deliver the accessible viewing platforms. It is open to anyone requiring access due to physical or intellectual mobility. The space is not reserved and is on a first-in basis with a general admission ticket. There is one dedicated accessible viewing platform in general admission areas and one dedicated accessible viewing platform in Holeshot Hotel. Locations of the accessible viewing platforms will be marked on the map.

Is accessible parking available?

Dedicated parking bays are available at Gate 3 entrance and are clearly indicated on the event map. Please show your Australian Disability Parking Scheme Badge to the traffic controllers on arrival for access to the parking area.

For patrons being dropped off, the closest drop off point is at the Gate 3 entrance.

What if I need help?

Event Champions in high visibility vests are available to help. Event champions have direct communications with event control who can assist with any questions, concerns or emergencies.

Can I bring my assistance animal?

Yes. Approved assistance animals are accepted.

How do I enter the event?

All gates have wide lanes and are accessible. There is a recommended entry lane at Gate 3 that has been modified for wheelchair access. The lane will be signed.

What assistance is available for people with hidden disabilities?

The MXGP of Australia is proud to be partnering with the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Initiative this year. Sunflower lanyards will be free and available to collect from our event champion information booths. Sunflower lanyards assist with easy identification with staff and security for the purpose of accessing assistance at the event. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower information booth will be located next to the accessible viewing platform.
